A man was freed from the two-storey block and taken to hospital, along with two people from the car. The front porch of the house, which is on a bend, was demolished and windows were shattered. Fire crews were called to the scene at around 2045 BST. Part of the main Colwyn Bay to Llandudno road, between the Rhos Road traffic lights and the Ship Hotel, was cordoned off in case of a gas leak. The driver, who was not seriously injured, was taken to Ysybty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, for treatment. The occupants of in the property were told to spend the night elsewhere until the structural examination was carried out.
