Police appeal following Rhos-on-Sea jewellery theft

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after jewellery was stolen from a Rhos-on-Sea antique shop.
The incident occurred at 12.45pm on Saturday, July 12 at Sheona Peters Antiques on Penhryn Avenue when three men and a woman entered the premises and took a large number of rings.
Detective Constable Andrew Skyner, of North Wales Police, said: “If you were in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously or you have any information about this theft, we’d like to hear from you.
“The investigation into this theft is a priority and it must be emphasised we need assistance from our local communities to both reduce incidents of this nature and identify those responsible. It is worth reminding all local shops to be vigilant at all times and if you see any suspicious behaviour contact police immediately.”
The offenders left in a silver saloon type car, which is believed to have had a foreign registration number plate, via the junction of Penrhyn Avenue and Rhos Promenade, in the direction of Colwyn Bay.
They are described as being of Asian or Middle Eastern appearance. One male was wearing a pink polo shirt with had short dark hair and sunglasses.
The other man was believed to be wearing a grey short sleeved shirt and also had short dark hair and sunglasses. Both are described as being aged between 40 to 50 years old.
